WHEN and WHO

By Lincoln and Weston, Ward Cheney, a local farmer and educator. Founded in 1991

WHY?

Chaney’s dream was intimate and expansive in the same time. Local work that focused on the land relationships.

The idea is how to grow organic food and work with urban and suburban young people and the society with which they live.

Model of engaging young people in a social change through sustainable agriculture. This organization  help others grow their own food through the community programs.

ABOUT THE DESIGN PROCESS

Every year, The Food Project relies on thousands of volunteers to help us achieve our goal of creating a more just and sustainable food system. In the Serve & Grow farm work volunteer program, individuals and groups visit our farms to help tend the fields.

WHY IT INSPIRES?

I am really inspired by the  beautiful, healthy food, and highly motivated young people working with passion towards a common mission.
