Every human being has experienced the feeling of ‘he’s staring at me’, because you’re not confortable with your body, your nose, the pimple on your forehead, your shoes out of fashion, and the tattoo on your shoulder. Our possibly wrong perceptions of others judging us could transmit disgust, interest, pity and many other emotions.

This is nothing compared to the challenging, sometimes complicated lifestyle some people are really experiencing their whole life: wheelchair users.

Thanks to a hint of experience and understanding research about the topic, we developed a part of the exhibition to present Fabrizio’s trips around the world on a wheelchair.

This is how we came up with ‘Are you normal?? a series of check points that involve your outer physical aspects, including the emotional ones, as a thoughtful way to get you closer to a situation you’re not physically aware of where obstacles are not necessarily a matter of feeling judged.

Because of your features you’ll be divided, and you will participate only to one part of the exhibition. However at the very end of this personal journey all the visitors will meet in a rounded room with big screens where the explanation will be told as it really is: everyone saw the same photos.

Selection and differences are for some of us inevitable, often challenging. Through the exhibition you are brought to a self-realization about limiting barriers, rather than small physical details that aren’t real problems.

So why can’t all people do the same? Try yourself!

Start here.
